Description
JWH-018 Powder
JWH-018 Powder. A synthetic cannabinoid called JWH-018 is present in various forms in the home-grown blend “Zest.” The psychoactive effects of this Spice cannabinoid, which mimic those of Δ9-THC in cannabis, are the main reason for its illegal use. Even though JWH-018 is fundamentally more potent than nearly identical cannabis measurements, it also poses a significant challenge for identification using standard Δ9-THC testing.
JWH-018 was added to the US Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) list of drugs and synthetic substances of concern in July 2009. Several states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, and Tennessee, have put in place official measures restricting the sale or ownership of JWH-018, despite the reported captures of Spice in Ohio and Florida.
